The Zheng Xiaoying Opera Centre was founded in 2010, with the purpose of training and developing the highly talented pool of opera singers, coaches, opera conductors, opera directors and stage supervisors. The Zheng Xiaoying Opera Center uses the popular education modules of “Studio” and “Master Classes”, to conduct practical training for the participants by selecting classical (either the whole or partial) opera works to be used as the training materials, focusing on both singing and performance, as well as providing real stage performance opportunities. The Center also utilizes the resources within the central and provincial opera theaters to perform opera works, which provides the students with stage performance experiences.
